"I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a man building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built."
Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary and in the Gospel reading Jesus teaches us about the importance of having a strong foundation. Many of our Sacramentals are given from the Church to give honor to Mary our Mother. As we celebrate her Most Holy Name, may we bring her to our hearts and minds today, maybe by simply praying her rosary as she has asked. May we build a strong foundation, allowing Mary to help us and to bring us closer to her Son. She is our defense against the flood of trials in our world today.
"Mary wants us to come to her. She wants us to pray the rosary and to
talk to her and ask her for all we need. Testaments of faith and love about the
Virgin Mary are easily found because the more we spread her goodness and her
kindness, the more others will go to her. Visit your Mother. She will fill you
with her gifts of grace and peace. She loves us more than we could ever know." Amazing Graces: The Blessings of Sacramentals
